Amon Amarth ist eine 1992 im schwedischen Tumba gegründete Melodic-Death-Metal-Band. Ihre Texte handeln von Wikingern und nordischer Mythologie. Nach dem Debüt „Once Sent from the Golden Hall“ (1998) folgte mit „Versus the World“ (2002) der Durchbruch, „Jomsviking“ (2016) und „The Great Heathen Army“ (2022) erreichten Platz 1 in Deutschland.
