Ziggy Zeitgeist - Listening Session " THE GENESIS OF TECHNO MUSIC"

We are honoured to welcome Ziggy Zeitgeist to Atemporal for an intimate listening session.

A key figure in Berlin’s contemporary jazz movement, Ziggy is the founder of Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange (ZFE*X) and Energy Exchange Records, as well as the drummer of the acclaimed collective 30/70. Through his work, he has continuously blurred the boundaries between jazz, broken beat, house, electronic music and club culture, helping shape a new generation of musicians and listeners in Berlin and beyond.

During this session, Ziggy will guide us through:

Proto-Techno, New Wave, Krautrock and Electro Funk

The session forms part of an ongoing research project that Ziggy began last summer during a six-week residency in Detroit. Through a carefully selected listening journey, he will explore the musical and cultural exchanges between Detroit, Germany and beyond, tracing the sounds and ideas that contributed to the emergence of techno.

It is a privilege to welcome one of the pioneers of Berlin’s contemporary jazz scene to Atemporal for an evening of deep listening, conversation and discovery.
