For our next Gather in Sound, we're excited to deepen what this series is all about through a special collaboration with Companion Tea.

Their dedication to the craft of tea and their thoughtful exploration of its many layers have made them an important part of Berlin's tea community. This gathering marks the beginning of an ongoing collaboration that will continue to unfold over the coming months, starting with the introduction of a new tea menu at Ikii throughout September.

On the musical side, we're proud to welcome Kyle Toole. A friend of the house and a true digger, Kyle has spent years building a remarkable record collection driven by curiosity and a fascination for psychedelic moods. Expect a journey through the depths of his record bag into far(out)-reaching sonic universes, carefully unearthed and woven into a rare, tripped-out listening experience. We're looking forward to welcoming him for our sixth edition.

The evening will also feature a live visual intervention. A surprise that will emerge in dialogue with the music, adding another immersive layer to the experience.

Guiding the evening from beginning to end will be Ikii residents Alex Jenkin, Ossios, and Mature Student, setting the tone and holding the space for another night of deep listening.

Tea session:

During this one-hour session, guests are invited to explore two teas from Nepal, the country where Companion Tea's journey began.
Served alongside the ambient listening session, the teas will be prepared gongfu style, served in small cups, with multiple infusions allowing their aroma, texture, and flavour to gradually unfold.
Rather than a formal tasting, the session is conceived as a shared moment of attentive listening. An opportunity to experience tea through a slower, more sensory approach.
