Motion Ward - Label Night

Gustav Kemps is a Berlin based musician who releases under his own name, as a member of the collaborative projects Yorck Street and Felicity J Lord, and as Perlah. Among many things, his work is influenced by his job as a guitar teacher in elementary schools, playfulness, imperfection, seasonality, and bodily sensations. His latest release “Lonesome For a Storm” was released on Motion Ward in 2026.

LOG is ulla and perila. They met in 2020 and connected in an eternal synchronicity of soundtracking beauty around them. They love nature and music forever and share this feeling with the world in emotional soundscapes.

JS is the label operator of Motion Ward, and 1/2 of the duo JJ+JS. His production and DJ’ing encapsulate a wide spectrum of sound interests and feeling, and strike a balance between the slow burning and the immediate ~ music for the head and the heart.

Ninka is a DJ based in LA, CA whose approach to music is to create arcs of feeling and transmit narratives. She tends to weave in themes of sensuality, psyche, heart, and trance-states. She draws from her roots in Slavic romanticism.
