Carla dal Forno + Nein Rodere

silent green presents Carla dal Forno Composer, songwriter and producer Carla dal Forno is based in Castlemaine, Victoria. Working between post-punk minimalism, experimental pop and atmospheric electronics, she has built an international following through a series of widely noted releases and extensive touring across Europe and North America. Beyond her recorded output, dal Forno hosts a monthly programme on NTS Radio, where she curates a selection spanning experimental electronics, dub, post-punk and leftfield pop. With her fourth studio album Confession, Carla dal Forno expands her distinctive sound. On stage, this takes shape as a focused and atmospheric set moving between brooding electronics and melodic immediacy: restrained in form, quietly powerful in effect. Nein Rodere Nein Rodere is the recording project of Berlin based music maker and artist David Roeder. Emphasizing texture, abstraction and spontaneity, Roeder's music is indebted as much to his painting practice as it is to his playful and highly critical engagement with 'man with a guitar' clichés. As such, the music moves between guitar-picking Minimalism and weathered Dream Pop, always leaving room for improvisation and unexpected sonic left turns. Besides two solo albums on Horn of Plenty, Roeder has recently released collaborative albums with Cooper Bowman of Troth (as CD3, Aguirre) and Lila Jarzombek aka Nowhere Flower (as Nein Flower, A Colourful Storm).
