Ana Roxanne

silent green presents Born and raised in the Bay Area, composer and vocalist Ana Roxanne is currently based in New York City. Most recently, Roxanne channeled her heartbreak and grief into Poem 1, her second album and most unguarded statement to date. A blend of decelerated jazz, minimalism and vocal folk forms that's marked by an awareness of ambient musics, the album plays out like catharsis, finding hope in the subtlety, slowness and smoky sadness of its piano themes, vulnerable vocals and dissociated synthesizer drones. Since 2022, she has also been working as a composer and collaborator for film, developed The Great Animal Orchestra with artist Bernie Krause, a commission for the Fondation Cartier. Most recently, she composed the score for the feature film First Light (2026) alongside director James L. Robinson. Reworking Beverly Glenn-Copeland's timeless Old Melody for Keyboard Fantasies Reimagined in 2021, Roxanne also worked alongside Brian Piñeyro (aka DJ Python) on the Natural Wonder Beauty Concept LP.
