Love Is Everywhere Enjoy Jazz Edition

The “Love is Everywhere” community party series, founded by DJ Tina Edwards, is inspired by the spirit of the “utopian” dance scene of the 1970s – featuring Afrobeat, house, funk, soul, balloons, disco balls, apricots, soap bubbles, “lofting” and plenty of love. This is how the organisers of the series – named after a song by Pharoah Sanders – describe their events. Their aim is collective joy, celebrating community and solidarity on the dance floor, where everyone feels at ease and can express themselves freely – free from any form of harassment or oppression. As their mission statement reads: “When you enter our party, you automatically agree to the ‘Love Is Everywhere’ party pledge: to treat your fellow dancers with respect and love, with warmth, richness and clarity.” At Enjoy Jazz, “Love Is Everywhere” can be experienced outside London for the first time.
