The heat won’t be over just yet. Once CSD settles and Berlin slows back into its late-summer rhythm, there’s still one more stop to make. On August 21 SUBSTATION returns to Club AMT for its fifth transmission, settling into Berlin’s late-summer rhythm as the city’s hottest weeks reach their peak. When the parks no longer offer shade, the lakes are overflowing, and mosquitoes take over every evening, the route leads back underground. Across the night, body-driven rhythms meet rolling basslines, hypnotic percussion, timeless club music, and queer dancefloor traditions stretching across generations and continents. From sweaty Diva House and Detroit Electro to Progressive, New Beat, Acid, Italo, and Brazilian club mutations, the night unfolds through movement, tension, intimacy, and collective release. Arriving from Brazil, Alma Negrot, resident of São Paulo’s Mamba Negra and Sangra Muta, draws on over a decade of queer nightlife, while Rio de Janeiro’s NORA, co-founder of ARENA, brings the pulse of Brazilian club culture. Joining them from Berlin’s queer underground are Body Language resident 131bpm, TANGA co-founder ALP, and Broccoli, owner of Pleasure Patterns and co-founder of Queer Vinyl Night. For the first time, SUBSTATION contracts into a single dancefloor, bringing the focus closer, the energy denser, and everyone together beneath one shared frequency. As familiar faces continue returning alongside new ones, the night grows through the community shaping it together, carrying forward the warmth, familiarity, and togetherness that have defined SUBSTATION since its very first transmission.
