Since 2018, Smag På Dig Selv (SPDS) has been pushing the boundaries of genre with their explosive fusion of acoustic techno, raw punk energy, and 90s-inspired dance music. With two saxophones, drums, and a poetic yet activist approach, the trio creates an intense and euphoric live experience. Their groundbreaking sound and fierce stage presence have earned them a reputation as one of Scandinavia’s most compelling live acts - culminating in a Danish Music Award for “New Live Act of the Year” in 2024 and The Independent Award for “Live Act of the Year” in 2026. Following strong demand, the band released their debut album ‘SPDS’ in 2024, further cementing their reputation as a formidable live act. In 2025, they expanded into the international market with performances at SXSW, ESNS, The Great Escape, SummerStage NYC, Athens Jazz Festival, a tour in Brazil, and more. In March 2026, SPDS released their second album ‘This Is Why We Lost’ to international critical acclaim. The release was followed by their ambitious “Christiania World Tour” and an extensive run of shows across Europe, the UK, and the Nordics. During the summer of 2026, SPDS performed to an audience of over 20,000 at the legendary Roskilde Festival, alongside appearances at major festivals across Europe.
