Sheep of Resistance

This party is a fundraiser in aid of the shepherds in the Jordan Valley in Palestine. The proceeds will go towards rebuilding homes, buying feed for the sheep, legal battles, supplying the farms with fresh water, and much more.

The Jordan Valley is a community that is often overlooked when people talk about Palestine. This area was once known for its vibrant community of farmers, Bedouins and shepherds. However, due to the occupation and attacks by settlers, it is slowly being depopulated. We will dance for them and celebrate their rich traditions, their connection to the land, and the fact that they are resisting for as long as they can.

The event organiser has spent four months doing solidarity work in this region and has formed close ties with the community. They have taught her what it means to live in harmony with nature.
