Sambol Grind - Sambol Foundation Fundraiser

LINEUP features diasporic artists from Sri Lanka and planet elsewhere …..via our boundless and pure love of music we manage to send money every year to @sambolfoundation a charity that provides shelter and support to victims of domestic and gender- based violence. Big ups to all those involved.

@_mdizzyy a vanguard in the blooming Colombo underground scene, MDJ is part of a collective that runs the renowned rooftop venue in the heart of the city, known as @925colombo. Their groundbreaking parties have brought international artists such as Gavsborg, Jon K, Nuno Beats, Principe & others to the shores of Sri Lanka.
Their parties in the metropolis of Colombo overlooking the ocean are not to be missed.

@pereraelswhere London-born, Berlin-based multi-award winning experimental pop auteur, Sasha Perera aka Perera Elsewhere is a producer, musician, songwriter and DJ who has played Boiler Room, Berghain, the Philharmonic and Guggenheim. Her music has been licensed by Ava du Vernay, Paolo Sorentino and Apple. She has also composed music for large immersive multimedia exhibitions for Dukhee Lee Jordan as well as for contemporary dance/ theatre . Half Tamil and half Sinhala yet always elsewhere, she initiated Sambol Foundation Fundraisers in 2022.

_sethds Sri Lankan born, London raised DJ & visual artist. His visceral DJ sets & performances explore contemporary club sounds from his native London to global bass music & Sri Lankan folk rhythms.

Rubimental is a DJ from Cologne who combines the best of rap, RnB, Afro, Futu ats and Global Bass in her sets. With smooth transitions she brings various dancefloors zi Beben - among others at splash!, Juicy Beats, Fusion and for radios such as WDR Cosmo, Cute Community Radio or Foundation FM. She is inspired by other FLINTA* DJs of Colour and also understands her sets as an expression of empowerment and community.

MPeach is a Venezuelan-born, New York-based artist bridging Caribbean and Venezuelan traditional rhythms with cutting-edge electronic sound, shaping the future of Latin American music. Her versatility as a singer, dj , producer and curator always shines and her Boiler Room debut with Babatur and Arca in Venezuela was huge.
