Sound artist, producer and storyteller Apu Nanu draws inspiration from post-internet aesthetics, microtonality, neoclassical themes, and video game nostalgia, blending these influences with playful MIDI manipulation and collage-like sound design. Trained in both Eastern and Western music traditions, they are a multi-instrumentalist interested in exploring new approaches to digital composition.

𝓦𝓸𝓻𝓴𝓼𝓱𝓸𝓹 𝓬𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓷𝓽

The workshop will explore building autonomous MIDI systems using Ableton Live's stock tools and Max for Live devices. We'll use modulation to shape sound, create movement, maintain control, and even intentionally break our systems.

Aimed at people already familiar with the basics of Ableton Live, the workshop expands your understanding of Live's modularity and encourages a more organised, sophisticated approach to sound creation through autonomous and generative systems.
