ProgMotion: LAUDARE & SIDUS

LAUDARE:
Laudare is all about poetry – in words and composition. The quartet, consisting of three voices, guitar, bass, drums, and cello, is forging its own path, weaving through Post and Progressive Rock, Metal, Folk, and Classical Music, yet never quite settling. Melody intertwines with melody, giving birth to a new musical form. Delicate and fragile at times, bold and daring at others – always carrying that bittersweet melancholia at its core, which moves and hurts, making us feel both our lightest and darkest facets all at once.

SIDUS:
Sidus is a post-metal band based in Berlin, formed by musicians originally from Athens, Greece. Their sound blends atmosphere, heavy riffs, and introspection into expansive, emotionally driven compositions. Drawing inspiration from Russian Circles, Cult of Luna, and Deafheaven, Sidus moves between tension and release, touching on themes of inner conflict, transformation, and the unknown. The band introduced their sound with the early releases Seasons Reversed (2020) and Dark Flames (2021), followed by the EP Seismos (2023), released via Argonauta Records. Their debut full-length album Lotus is a concept record exploring the “human abyss,” combining post-metal with philosophical ideas and elements drawn from the natural world. The album was produced by Enrico Tiberi, features Noah See (Conjurer) on drums, and was mixed and mastered by Joe Clayton (Pijn, Bossk, Tuskar). It also includes a guest appearance by Sarp Keski (Bipolar Architecture) on the track Embrace The Void. Over the past two years, Sidus has been steadily building a dedicated audience. They have performed across Europe, appearing at festivals such as Sundrowner 2024, Autumn Bash 2024, and Woodbunge Fest 2025, and sharing the stage with acts like Psychonaut, Predatory Void, Hubris, and Bipolar Architecture.
