Honed and expanded through their travels; Ak’chamel, the giver of illness, forge a singular sound of desert-scorched psychedelia, fictitious post-apocalyptic shamanism, and impish ritual folk – as unique as the physical theatre of their live performances.For over fifteen years, they have released dozens of cassettes, several vinyl records, and a handful of cryptic VHS tapes. The trio remains veiled in mystery, yet they tour often — bringing their plague into the ravaged heart of the world. Ak’chamel has built a solid reputation as a compelling stage project. Wearing nightmarish costumes and engaging in hallucinatory “rituals”, their singular sound comprising desert-scorched psychedelia, post-apocalyptic shamanism, and lo-fi ritual-folk is as unique as the physical theater of their live performances.Authors of around fifteen cassettes, three vinyl LP’s, several cryptic VHS videos and their reels have generated millions of views.
