In the Neighbourhood

“In the Neighbourhood” is an event taking place as part of the Pop-Kultur Festival, born out of the idea of working together with music industry professionals based in the immediate vicinity to organise an after-show event on 25 August to complement the Pop-Kultur Talks which are taking place beforehand. We were able to secure the participation of the labels K7 and Sinnbus, as well as the booking agency Von der Hardt. Since its foundation in 1985 by the late Horst Weidenmüller, K7 has been an internationally successful company in the field of electronic music. They became particularly well known for their DJ-Kicks series. K7 is based on the Silent Green site. Sinnbus is a label that has been active since 2000; it evolved from a collective of various bands and is at home in both the indie and electro genres. The same building on Reinickendorfer Straße is home to the internationally active concert agency Von der Hardt, which primarily represents artists spanning the spectrum from neoclassical to electronic music. Each of the three companies is presenting one live act, and K7 is also providing a DJ. Entry is free, and doors open at 9.00 pm.
