Toska - noun /ˈtō-skə/ - a feeling of sadness and melancholia without any specific cause.

Emotional dance music has always lived in Berlin.

You can hear the city's grit in the music, made by a whole underground of international artists who never defaulted to techno or trance.

But that community has stayed confined to the internet, boxed out by an industry that keeps investing in the genres that already built this city's reputation.

Inspired by the ethos of emo and punk shows, TOSKA aims to bring back a sense of community and emotional depth that has been lost in the rapid commercialisation of dance music.

Expect a unique lineup of artists with a wide sonic palette spanning House, UK Garage, Breakbeat and Trance tunes you wouldn't hear in this city otherwise.
