And so do we.On October 31, chucuXchucu invites you back to Cumbia de los Muertos, a night somewhere between ritual and dancefloor, remembrance and celebration, the living and the dead.At the heart of the night, our Ofrenda rises through the room, a collective altar built from photographs, flowers, memories and offerings brought by all of us. Bring something that reminds you of someone you want to remember, and become part of an altar that grows throughout the night.Musically, we follow the paths that connect the chucuXchucu universe: sounds travelling between Latin America, the Caribbean and beyond, between roots and mutations, old records and new electronics, live music and the dancefloor. Cumbia, Chicha, Chucu Chucu, Salsa, Tropical Bass and more.The line-up remains a surprise for now. Live acts, DJs and special guests will reveal themselves little by little on the way to October 31.Cumbia de los Muertos is a space shaped by the people, memories and cultures that come together in it. We especially invite Munich’s Mexican, Latin American and LatinX communities to bring their stories, their music, their loved ones and make the night their own.Bring something for the Ofrenda. Dress for the other side. Catrinas, calaveras and Día de los Muertos-inspired creations are especially welcome. There will be a prize for the look that captures the spirit of the night.
