Atomic Fruit + Planet Opal at Baketown – Release concert

SERPENTINE RELEASE CONCERTDoors 19:30 Show 20:00 Atomic Fruits third album, Serpentine, lingers between the slow, the fast, and the ugly. On October 24th, the Berlin based trio will celebrate the album launch with a release concert at Baketown together with the Italian kraut-disco duo Planet Opal, making their first appearance in Germany. After the concerts DJ Seta Loto will play a set. ATOMIC FRUIT In one of the forgotten experiments of the 1950s, scientists bombarded plants with radiation to force new mutations, an unpredictable process known as Atomic Gardening. Most attempts failed. But every once in a while a desirable variation could be cultivated further.In the same vein, the music of Atomic Fruit is always mutating, evolving.With members from Sweden, France and Italy, the group formed in 2021 after a serendipitous meeting at a SUUNS concert. With their first show only two weeks later, the band quickly became a fixture of the Berlin underground scene with their genre defying, high intensity live sets.The band introduced their eclectic mix of synths, trumpet, samples, and fractured rhythms to an international audience with their debut vinyl Play Dough (2023).With Sketches of the Moon (2025), the band turned inward: slower, more introspective, and steeped in the cinematic unease of David Lynch.100% safe for human consumption. PLANET OPAL Planet Opal is a kraut rock-techno band, their sound is made of chromatic synthesizers and wild drum patterns. Authentic revelation of Italian electronics, they are inspired by post-punk and post-disco re-shaped in a sound-system key. Their debut album “Cartalavonu” (2021) soon led Giorgio and Leonardo to perform throughout the finest clubs and festivals in Italy and Europe: Mi Ami Festival Milano, Ment Ljubljana, Transmusicales Rennes, demonstrating that their musical proposal has all the trappings of internationality.In May 2025 "Recreate Pattern, Release Energy", the band's second album, was released along with an exciting tour across Italy including Spring Attitude Festival in Rome. SETA LOTO Seta Loto is an Italian electronic producer and DJ based in Berlin. His music explores the intersection between minimal bass, UK-influenced techno, dub, drum and bass, and experimental electronic forms.
